Drift Shifters 2014
Drift Shifters returned for a second time after being originally thought up by Mad Mike Whiddett featuring top international drivers from all around the world battling for points in a unique and exciting drift layout that pushed the drivers and amped the crowd one one fuel filled day.
The day started off with media and stray spectators arriving on the closed public road to sign in and get a good viewing spot. The word was that the inaugural Drift Shifters event was packed so many took heed and arrived well before start time
The warm up sessions proceeded with most drivers going 90% right out the gate which both pleased the crowds and caused a few very early casualties most notably being Mad Mike and his MADBULL RX7 (which had to be retired)
However that did not stop everyone from still pushing and when it came to deciding qualifying positions the drivers only pushed harder putting on a excellent show
After a carnage and exciting day the battle was drawn between Mad Mike and Chris Forsberg. Mad Mike would go first pushing the “Bad Bull” to its limits to pull in a score of 4,012,088 points. Chris Forsberg trailed and had his work cut out for him and while he pushed the 370Z hard through the course he was unable to find the correct combinations and finished with only 2,650,885 points, leaving Mad Mike to claim top place and savor the victory on his home soil.
